I have one of the new iPods (Nano 4th gen., iTouch 2nd gen., or the Classic 120GB). Are these compatible with this unit and what setting should I use on the rotary knob to dock my iPod?
Yes, the new iPods are compatible with this unit. We recommended the use of following setting on the rotary knob for your iPod: Nano 4th gen. – Nano Rotary Setting, iTouch 2nd gen – Less than iTouch Rotary Setting, and Classic 120GB – 30GB Rotary Setting.
How can I play my MP3 player which
is not an iPod through this system?
Yes, you
can. Connect your mp3 player using an Auxiliary Line-In cord 3.5mm
stereo-to-stereo cable (not included) and insert one end into the headphone
jack of your MP3 player and the other end into the AUX IN port on the side of
your GPX system. Select AUX on the function switch on top of the system. Note:
Use the controls on the MP3 player to change songs or adjust the volume,
etc.; the controls on the unit and remote will only work with an iPod with the
only exception being the shuffle. See
page 7 of the instruction manual or the question below.
My shuffle is an iPod but won’t work
in the iPod function?
Though the
shuffle is an iPod, you will need to use the AUX function as if it were not an
iPod. Select AUX on the function switch
on top of the system. Note: Use the controls on the shuffle to change songs or
adjust the volume, etc.; the controls on the unit and remote will not work with
a shuffle.
When I use the AUX input mode I’m
not getting enough volume?
If you are
connected to the headphone output of an audio source, you will need to adjust
the volume controls on the audio source for optimal sound and volume.
